A catch-all mailbox is one that captures all the emails sent to inactive email addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody miswrites it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Only one single mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and thus you’ll never miss emails because the other party has an obsolete email address or has made a mistake. The downside of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving lots of spam email messages, but this problem can be fixed using anti-spam filtering software. It’s also important to bear in mind that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot redirect incoming messages to a 3rd-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you have a website hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel comes with quite a lot of features, but it’s exceptionally user-friendly, so setting up a catch-all mailbox requires only one single click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be shown in this section alphabetically and you’ll only need to click on the "Catch-all" button associated with the specific address. Our system will inform you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either turn off the latter feature or select some other mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all option is just as easy and takes one more click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You will be able to set up a catch-all email address with no more than one click if you have a semi-dedicated hosting service with us and your emails are handled by our cloud platform. All the addresses that you set up using any domain name hosted in the semi-dedicated hosting account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel. Each of them will have a mini "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to enable the feature will be to click that icon. In the very same way you will be able to remove the feature, if you do not need it any longer. Our system will inform you if you are trying to enable a second catch-all email address for a certain domain name or in case there is activated email forwarding, but it’ll never alter or disable any feature automatically or without your permission.
